Help identifying

Hello!

Newbie here, to the site and the saltwater hobby.

I had a very pleasent hitchhiker when I got my last batch of live rock. I definitely wanted an anemone but knew I had to wait for a while for my tank to mature. Since then (about 2 months) it's been doing fine. Moved around a few times. Settled on a spot it's liked. I've fed it shrimp and it's doubled in size since I've gotten it and it's starting to show its bubbles a little bit more.

But.. I've tried to get help IDing it and I've had a lot of mixed reviews. The store I got it from is certain it's a baby bubble tip. Everyone else I've talked to has said it's probably a majano and that it won't grow much bigger and I should consider removing it. I decided to try a proper forum to see if I. And get any other opinions. If it turns out to be majano, that's fine.. but I'm just really curious.

A very bleached anemone, maybe a bta, need better pictures.

It is most likely be a bleached majano.

Its not common to find BTAs that small, not to say its impossible, but not likely.

Hmmmm.... It's bleached which makes it more difficult to identify. Can't tell from the pictures, but does it have any rings around it (on its tentacles)? If so, it's a Majano. If not, it's possibly a small rock anemone or MAYBE a BTA. Better pictures would help us nail it down for sure

I've been trying for days. Haha it either moves farther into the tank or I can't get a good focus. I'm still tying though.

Yah, it's a lot harder to get a clear shot than I thought. These are the only halfway decent ones I've gotten and they're still pretty bad. Sorry guys. Thanks for all the input though. I didn't realize there was a rock anemone. :spin1:
