Help IDing anemone

Hello folks! My husband and I are new at this and are currently cycling our 55 gallon with live rock. This little guy has been thriving so we're wondering if it's a majano...any thoughts?

Many thanks in advance!

That is aptasia, a very bad pest. I would kill it quickly. You can do a lot of things to kill it at this stage don't try to remove it in the tank. You most likely end up with multiple small ones.
Take it out torch the area
use reef safe putty and just cover it (I recommend this)
inject it with kalk, or Aptasia X or various reef products for this
Inject the are a with boiling water (not effective)

What ever you do, kill it and make sure it does not come apart in your tank.
More than likely there are other aptasia in your live rock. I never ever get live rock from a tank that I see one aptasia

I cant find any that bubbles up. Any chance it could be something else?

My thoughts are majano/ tulip anemone. They can sometimes be beautiful, but none the less are pests...

I also agree more likely to be majano than aptasia. It is a pest anemone that you can either live with or live without.

I have heard that taking the rock out, putting it in a tupaware of tank water, and in the fridge over night, will kill the anemone. This is not something I have personally tried though.

Other than that most of the advice given for aptasia works for mojano's as well, if you do not get rid of it they will eventually spread throughout your tank and make it harder to keep other corals in your tank as the pest anemone will sting them.
