Help ID'ing please

Bought this beauty today from my LFS. The owner was out and his other employee, who is actually quite knowledgeable, told me this was a Stylophora, although she wasn't absolutely positive. None of the pics I'm finding online are seeing to match up so I'm skeptical now. I was staring a little bit ago at it and it has a bunch of white bubble tip "anemone" looking tentacles protruding from it.

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks guys! I've just researched the Galaxea and yes that's a positive ID. I'm a bit nervous and a little apprehensive on keeping it though, as it is an LPS and I'm a total noob to reef keeping.

My tank has only been up for a month, and while I've done good so far on my parameters, and maintaining a few healthy Zoas, I feel I should wait...

What's everyone's take on that? Galaxea are categorized as easy for beginners, but am I setting myself up for a disaster?
 
Yup, that's a Galaxea. Mine has done very well with my noobness and stumbles with water parameters and sub par lighting. It's pretty much thrived no matter how much I neglected the tank. I've had it for about a year now and it's about tripled in size.
 
Oh and btw, I've been told that they can sting other corals and have very long tenticles. Altho I've never seen them get very long (at the most 1/2"), I try to keep other corals away from it.

Yea I read an article said that they could sting other corals up to 12 inches away, and I believe it. When I first realized that mine had tentacles, they were out about 6". Very long
 
To see the sweeper tentacles, wait until a few hours after lights out and then use a red flashlight to look around the tank. You just might be amazed at what you see.

I saw them with the my lights still at about 45% white/blue swaying all over. Really cool to watch. My wife was asking if I had a headache yet from staring at it for so long lol. I woke up at about 3 am, a good 6 hours since the lights had been fully out, took a peek in with my flashlight and didn't see anything going on. Though it had only been in my tank for a bout 8-9 hours so I'm sure it's still acclimating. But I've watched a dozen of so videos of this thing and I must admit, it's an amazing specimen! Can't wait to get back home from work lol. One of my co-workers is talking about going home and going to sleep, I said hell, I'm going home to stare at my aquarium!
 
It will grow long tentacles later on after acclimation. Beautiful coral, I've have one for about 4 years that got huge. I keep it isolated from other corals, it does sting but not as bad as bubble corals or Hollywood stunner chalice. Don't be afraid to keep it in your tank, jus monitor it's behavior.

Goniopora on that second one, commonly known as the flower pot coral. These can be trickier to keep alive, don't always do well in captivity.
 
Time will tell. I've been in talks with the owner of my LFS the past few days and he seems to think that as long as my params stay steady, and I continue to give my tank the attention that I am, I will be ok.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on the Goniopora being spot fed, several times a week. To it being broadcast fed, twice a week. I am interested in what you guys think about feedings.

I'm feeding ReefRoids at the moment.
