Help, is this flukes or velvet? Please i.d

Hello all, my purple tang has been battling for about a week now at first i thought it was ich and started treating him with kick ich and rally which is also recommended for velvet however for the last 2 days he has lost his appetite and does not eat at all, and only comes out at night when the lights are off but his flesh looks really bad can someone please advise on what this can be, i should also mention his eyes were cloudy but after 2 freshwater dips they cleared up

How long have you had him and have you added anything new to the tank? Did anything come off the fish, like flukes as you mentioned, in the few dip? I don't believe this is due to flukes. Kick Ich is junk...won't cure anything. Given the timeline of symptoms I think you are dealing with velvet. Read the stickies on treatments at the top of this forum. Although fw dips will not cure velvet it will knock back the disease just a little to buy you a little time to get meds.

yes the fw dips helped a little and flukes did come off his skin on both dips i have had him for about a month

Kick ick is garbage. Use copper power

Perhaps the fish has flukes and velvet. Prazipro x 2 for flukes; chloroquine phosphate for velvet.
