Help! Low salinity at startup..

I've got a salinity reading of 1.020 in my newly built 180gal and I took delivery of the first 50lbs of live rock. Eager to put the live rick in, I didn't check the salinity.

Should I add freshly mixed salt water (a few hrs old) to bump up the salinity, or wait a few days for the salt water to mix properly and add it in a few days?

Thanks,

Ive used freshly mix saltwater within 10 minutes before with no problems. I usually let my water sit for a day or so but if needed its fine. It wont effect anything. I would bump it up to about 1.026.

itwill be fine to add the freash mixed saltwater to the tank just make sure you mix it well, i make my water as i need it due to not having the space to store it. if the tank is empty you can mix a strong solution of sw and add it slowly into direct water flow and check your levels till you have it where you want it. i aim for 1.025

be sure you add it slowly allowing it to mix with the rest of the tank well about every 20 to 30 min in small amounts

It'll be ok...just topoff your evaporation with salt water instead of fresh for a few days and it should be good.

yeah, I wouldnt be too worried either if you do it over a couple days. nothing should be negatively affected.
