When I did the rockscaping for my 270 mixed reef I had a eel in mind. I made 2 towers one out of egg rate and live rock the other out of 2" PVC and live rock. I was lucky enough to score a 8" Skeletor eel at a LFS. He was very active at feeding to the point he made me a little nervous for my other inhabitants. So I thought I would make him fat and lazy by feeding him more frequently. Sadly this led to his demise about 3 months after I got him.
I did a lot of research be for my purchase but never found that you could over feed a eel. That is till things started to look bad and i specifically searched over feeding. So now I'm left with an aqua scape suited for an eel an detritus. Are there any options fish wise to keep my PVC from being a detritus trap.
