Please vote for which of the four reactors would be best for a reefer that has never used one before as far as ease of setup, ease of adjustment, and efficency/reliability.
I had the old Korallin Cal. Reactor that open from the bottom. I was not too crazy for opening at the the bottom, so stop using it. I can said they are made out of heavy-duty material compare to what I am using now, K2R.
Can anyone provide some good features to look for on a reactor to help me evaluate the quality of one reactor versus another? I have decided that none of the volume ratings (i.e. this reactor is good for up to x number of gallons) are good enough to use to compare the reactors as several of the brands I am looking at have very similar dementions but are rated very differently.
Are there be any certain features that that make one reactor better than another?
I truly believe that the up-flow ones , out perform the downflow ones. By fluidizing the media . I have owned cheapo homemade, a MRC, and now own a "deltec knock off" . Deltec makes some Great equipment, and one thing I learned about this hobby, that you can learn only with time-- is--- spend the money to get good equipment. It pays off in the long run!
