Help me choose Nikon D90 kit... THX

Im gonn abuy a NIkon D90 kit tomorrow, which one should I get?

Costco D90 $1,299 18-55VR & 55-200VR lens

Best Buy D90 $1,299 18-105mm Lens

Which one would be the best all around kit?

What do you plan to use the camera for? I have the 18-105 and am satisfied with it. The lens quality of the two combinations you list should be similar although the 18-105 might be a bit better. For me, I liked the range of 18-105 meaning that I could reduce the number of lens changes: use the 18-105 routinely and switch to a ultra wide-angle or longer telephoto if required for special circumstances. I would find the 55mm 'cut' between the 18-55 and 55-200 a bit limiting. But, with the combo, you do get some extra telephoto reach (which might be a big plus for you depending on your main targets).

Not my recommendation. You'll be lucky if you receive anything, let alone the real new hardware in perfect shape without imitation parts.

Besides the regular family pics and travel pics Im gonna take some hunting pictures with deer sometimes around 100+ yards away...

They also sell a kit of D90 plus 18-105 VR and 70-300 VR... I think it usually goes for around $1750.

For that kind of stuff you want the kit that has the 70-300VR lens in it. The 55-200 is ok but you'll want the extra reach and the 70-300VR is a very good quality lens.

Well I bought the Costco kit, will sell the 55-200 VR lens(anyone interested) and get later on the 70-300VR and a macro lens...

I got D90 with the 18-105 and 70-300. Love the camera and the lenses. I will get a Macro 105 soon. And that's all I need. 18-105 is an all around lens though!
