Me personally I wouldn't want 3 gobies in a 40b. Awesome fish though.

If you like the firefish and pgmy you can probably add them whenever you want. I like adding fish in pairs to my main display. Two new kids on the block is easier than one new kid on the block.

Filefish can be a bit shy, hence the reason I like adding a pair lets them be more comfortable. You could do a pair and the pgmy.

I'd say any fish your girl (daughter, wife, girlfiend) likes and it fits in your tank would be a major plus in my opinion.

With firefish a pair is hard to come by, if you add 2, you will most likely end up with 1. The more dominant one will chase the other into hiding and it will eventually starve and die. Just add 1 firefish.
You should be fine adding the firefish with the angel. Just dont add the angel prior to the firefish

Basic red firefish. I had actually just posted my thoughts and personal opinions on over spending on livestock. Not that I wouldn't love to have a couple different designer clowns, or a blue spot jawfish and such, I just think the real basic and common things in this hobby are really some of the most impressive and taken for granted.
