I'm sure we all have our own ER horror stories so I won't rant and rave about the details. Suffice to say I was ready to take a page from Konrad's book and "hurt a stranger" -- one with a stethoscope draped on his neck.
At 11:40pm I TOLD the ER doctor to admit her (the first guy, the one who had been treating her all day, had gone home without committing to admitting her -- he simply passed the buck to the next shift! All he kept saying was "let's see if she's feeling better in another hour, then she can go home" -- hour after hour -- and then the P skips out without admitting her!!!)
So that's the story in a nutshell. Oh, there's a lot more... like a completely unnecessary and expensive CT scan -- what the hell, Obamacare, and our tax money, will pay for it. Regina took Avinza (a time released *morphine*, oxycodone, Lyrica, neurontin, and cipro (an antibiotic, but with all the other crap it was just one more drug in her stomach). Gee... do you think maybe her nausea and weakness might be related to that????? Oh, noooo.... we need to do a CT scan to see if her gut is obstructed. Idiot!
Anyway, she's in the hospital where she should be right now. Thanks, everyone for your concern and get well wishes. I will let her know you guys are thinking good thoughts for her.
