Help me hunt

I have a baby porcelain crab who is bullying my clowns out of their new RTBA home.

He is darn fast and small enough to get in some rock work I can't reach with my hands, net, or tongs.

any ideas?


I am leaving tomorrow and want it out before then!

Wait until the lights go out and then spear him. It should be out of long enough for you to this. Give it about an hour after the lights go out.

That's why they have been around for millions of years longer than mammals

Try taking a 20oz soda bottle and cut the top off, invert (no pun intended) the top into the sand and anchor a piece of shrimp or silverside to a little bit of LR in the bottom and place it near where its residing. If it crawls in it won't be able to climb out.

yeah, that is how we used to catch bees at work. I just didn't think a porcelain crab would go hunting. worth a try though!

better than maliciously attacking it with a knife.

If you're clowns are being bullied by a porcelain crab, then they're wimps. They'll find somewhere else to live.

I have a RBTA, but my clowns have never shown interest in it. They're perfectly happy living in their hammer coral. I bought a porcelain anemone crab to keep the RBTA company.

no no. Clowns are little guys. They love the nem and I want them in there more than the stupid crab.

Sorry, thats how I get all my unwanted crabs out. Have you tried to crab for him. What I mean is to put a piece of meat or something he may be intersted on a hook. Dangle it front of him and see if he'll grab on. Thats how I get blue claws so I don't see why it won't work.

the SOB had the nem all closed up when I got home from work. I didn't kill it. I just through it in a 5 gallon bucket with a powerhead, heater, and a bunch of rock.

I had to move a bunch of rock and chased him into the corner then swooped him up with my hand.

everybody is happy! cept the crab of course!
