Help me ID please. Good or Bad???

I am posting here because after about i year I still consider myself new to the hobby.

This stuff starting growing in the middle of my polyps and I'm not sure what it is.

Just looks like a harmless sponge from here..

+1 to a sponge of some sort. If it is crowding out the coral, remove the rock to a separate bowl of tank water and carefully scrape away as much as you can, then rinse in another bowl of tank water. If you attempt to do that in the tank the tiny little bits of sponge that escape will grow just fine someplace else.
