Hi Everyone,

I just set up my Biocube 29 gallon w/ 25 lbs of liverock a few days ago and I found this hitchhiking snail today. He looks so cool. Does anyone know what he is? I was thinking a snail or a flatworm. Is there anything I can feed it? I just started my tank, and the fish store said the liverock should be enough to feed the 4 turbo snails and 10 crabs I bought, but I am not sure about the hitchhiker. Thank you so much! I really have enjoyed reading all the posts!

Chiton, I think. Good algae eater. As far as I know you can't buy them. I don't know of any harm they do.

Yeah, they do retract when I touch them. Funny thing, when I picked up my liverock at Aquarium Outlet at LAX, most of the rocks were covered with them. They are so cool looking, you would think there would be a market for them.

Do you think I should try feeding them and my turbo snails with algea wafers? My tank if just starting and there is no algae in there except what is on the rocks. Thanks for the help everyone!!!
