Snagged this guy last night, and im not positive what type it is.
The picture doesnt really represent the colors very well, it is whitish/tan with pinkish/purple tips. The foot is yellow/gold.

A positive Id would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you worried? The anemone you have appears to be a bleached Heteractis crispa. Keep an eye on the clown so that it does not harass the anemone. Also, do consider feeding it well with a fish-based meat at least 3 times a week (for a bleached specimen). Keep us updated.

Thats what I was guessing, what are the chances of this guy pullin through, assuming all conditions are optimal?
Is it necessary for the meat to be fish based, or would fresh shrimp and clams be ok?

It is impossible to tell at this point. Just do the best you can and keep us informed. H. crispa generally does best with a full fish diet (I recommend silversides, or even better, lancefish--or both).

I have offered fresh table shrimp last night and it stuck to the tentacles but the anem never made an active effort to ingest. Should I just keep offering or switch food? I got this nem nearly free because of its condition but I would really like to see it pull through. I think its just so sad how dealers continue to sell these in the poor condition.

Small bits......

Do not (if you are doing so now) feed big pieces. Mince them up.

I find that new anemones do not like to ingest big pieces of food....

What are the water params?

Best,
Ilham

Good news to update, I finally got this nem to eat some table shrimp. I had to stick it right by its mouth, but it slowly opened up and sucked it in. Im gonna wait 48hrs then see if it wants some more. Also it seems as though it is getting a little more color each day... This guy might pull through after all.
Thanks Ill update with some pics as soon as it changes some more.
