Hi,
I just upgraded from a 65gal to a 120gal this past weekend. Currently i have 5 maxijets and a wavemaker that i transfered as well. Of course i find it not enough for the new tank. I have sps, leathers, brains, favites, xenia, and pagoda in the new tank. I am trying to decide between buying the Tunze Wavemaker or 2 6000 powerheads and the multi controller. Which do u think would be best for a 4ft tank with the corals i have.

Thank you
Ben

The wavebox is not a substitute for powerheads it is meant to be used with powerheads to provide a directional flow. The best would be both solutions but the 2 6000 and 7095 is the better choice if you are choosing one or the other.

thank you for the reply...i guess i have to go with the big buck route. I wont be telling the wife about this purchase ;)

have you considered the seaswirl ?

i got one in my 90 and that's all i got for flow and it is great!!!

Actually that works well too, if you had a 1" seaswirl doing about 800+gph you could do just a wavebox or one Stream and one wavebox. The seaswirls are a good adjunct to flow in larger tanks.

A guy named Ed at Aquarium Currents in PA. It oscillates the water from the return pump.

well, let me give u a little more info on the setup...i am using a mag 9.5 split to both main returns and a mag 7 split to my chiller and my uv sterlizer. Is the seaswirl similar to the SCWD?
