Help me move my tank :)

So I have to move my tank my current setup (stand/tank+sump=~150g)
3 ft away literally :debi: .

What's my best option?

If possible I would like to take all the live rock and most of the water and keep all my fish in the DT while dragging the whole thing.

Does anyone have a tip on how to do this? Any help appreciated. Trying to get the fastest safest stress free for my fish

Hummm can you go out and get a new bigger tank?

Make it an upgrade at the same time....

But honestly... Please do not move it full.. Some people have good luck... but the one screw/nail that never got all the way in suddenly decides to shift and pull out... you will NEVER hold up 150gal of water. and if it crushes you a loved one or a pet... then you have a real mess on your hands. (pun intended)

No no no ahaha I will take almost all the water out and put it on containers and another extra tank that I might aquire. So basically what Im trying to do is having the least amount possible of water so the fish can stay there while I move everything add the live rock again and fill it up

Dunno if it makes sense :)

Oh and... buying a new tank its impossible wife WILL kill me :(

It does... but you risk stirring up lots of junk too... It would be best to make it a water change at the same time. A tank with ANYTHING in it can crack quick... be careful.

Get those sliders from the hardware store for china cabinets and across carpets.

How about leaving few inches of water so fish can swim there.
Taking water into containers while cleaning the bottom (barebottom tank) and after its "clean" moving it?

OR

I could put all the fish and live rock in another tank... empty/wash/clean the one im using and refill it, which I thought would be more stressful since I have to catch the fishes.

Easiest way is removing everything, I have moved my 180 gal RR from 10 feet to 4 states away. I moved my tank a few months ago 10 feet, I removed everything took it apart moved it, put it back up and but everything back in. The next day I made new water and did a large water change. Don't take short cuts just tear it down and move this way.

So... take a new temporal home for my fish. Empty everything/clean everything/move put back all fishes and make a water change?

Thanks for the help :) Much appreciated

Yes agree... It is spring cleaning time... Just break it all down and clean in vinegar and rinse with RODI... Might as well.

If you are already bearbottom then you should be good anyway.

Yes, and while your moving it, let the pumps run in vinager to get cleaned. I have moved my tank so much I have dedicated 50 gal totes.

The plumbing was redone two weeks ago so no need to clean those hehe. Thanks a lot. I guess imma have to fish them with a bucket hehe

I bought a 150 gallon rubbbermade tub and put everything in there and moved the tank and then started to add everything back in.

Either way it will be stressfull for the fish once you start taking out rock and drastically reducing the water level. I would put the fish in one container and the rocks in another, then move the tank.
