Help me pick out a new return pump....GEN X Replacement

Hello Everyone, I've had my 120 gallon going for a bit over a year now and since i got it used I think its getting time for a new return pump. Its due for a good cleaning at least. I would say circulation has more than halved itself since day 1, and almost every time i shut the pump off i have to smack it with a hammer in order for it to start up again. B) I honestly don't know very much about pumps and head pressure etc, so I'm looking for advice on a suitable replacement. My tank currently has 2 mp40's for flow, a 40 gallon sump underneath, and I would say since the returns are split, it goes through 4 90's and 4 45's shouldn't have to push up more than about 5 feet. Ideally i could find a replacement that would be drop in, and not require any modifications to the plumbing.

Here are some pictures of what I've got right now

And the return's have these venturi type fittings on the end that increase the flow. If I had a decent pump, I would like to remove these because they are so direct, they stir sand most of the time.

Here are your pumps specs
Gen-X PCX-40 (Mak4) 1190 gph 22' (6.8m) 3000rpm 3/4" MPT / 3/4" MPT and it sells for 199.0 at Marine Depot.

There has been alot of good comments about the Reeflow Blowhole pumps here is a website to check out

Any other suggestions on a drop in pump replacement that would be an improvement over my Gen X? The Iwaki pumps look to be the same form factor so they could probably be a drop in replacement right?
