Hi reefers....

I´m really sad!

I think i´m loosing my bubble coral....

He came to me 2 weeks ago...and during the first week he was allright with a good bubble extension and polyps at night...but after some days he start to remain closed...with a poor bubble extension....the skeleton is evident all the time and some ciano was growing over the skeleton.
I changed his position and I put him in a less bright place...the ciano is slowly dying but he still with a poor bubble extension...

My first guess was the lights (led lighting here) because some days ago he still opened during actinic time but close when the white lights are turn on...but now...he is closed all the time...

My circulation is relative strong because I have mostly sps corals...but I don´t think that is too much where I placed him...

I know...it´s difficult to measure...but how low should be the water flow for this coral????? The same as for frogspawn??? Because I have some euphyllias and all are in good shape...like all my other corals...

Parameters are in check: 8DKh. 440 Ca, Nitrates and phosphates zero...1025 sg....

What should I do??????????????????? I don´t want to loose him!!!! HELP ME!!!!!

Best regards and sorry for my terrible english

Low current. However, I don't think we have sufficient information. Age of tank, water parameters, etc.

Could very well be the lights are too high and either way I'd put it in the shade asap, but parameters would help too :)

Hi reefers....

I don´t have good news....

My bubble is worst....I put him in a very low flow..and relative low lights...but I don~t know...the skeleton is covered with a ciano patch...i will post some pics latter....

Thank´s guys....

low flow. I have had one for over 10 years. To high of flow and it will recede. Especially in a sps tank that needs that high flow. Bubble corals are very resilient. i have seen some back from the dead so to speak.
