Help me Select Stream for this Tank

I have a custom tank that is glass on three sides. I want to mount a Tunze stream only on the side wall of the tank that has the overflow so that the viewing is no obstructed from any other side. I have a 6" DSB and will be keeping mostly LPS and maybe some SPS on the crest.

Do I need two Streams or just one? Could I use a 6100 and just bounce it off the far end for flow?

Tank dimensions finally came out at 48" x 28" x 28" which makes it around 150 Gallons.

Here's a drawing of the tank:

I would not use a 6100, way too much, the flow is so wide it would just be bouncing back on itself. I would get 2 6000, you could start with one but I think 2 is better. Alternatively you could use the 7400/2 and a 6000 to have two flow zones with a stronger flow on your SPS and a weaker flow for your LPS.

Thanks for the reply Roger.

I ordered the 6000 and hooked it up and it creates great flow for the tank. I may ad another powerhead of some kind for the crest of the reef where the SPS live but overall I have around 2500 gph of flow for a 150 gal tank which works for me.

I love this product; it replaced an Iwaki 40RXT closed loop and now you can actually hear things in the same room as the tank.

I'm not sure the 6100 wouldn't have worked. My tank is very wide and deep which makes for unusual flow dynamics.

Thanks again.

The 6100 doubles the flow, you could upgrade your 6000 if you wanted to try it, you need only the 7410.602 transformer.
