Help me stock my 8 foot 300 Gal tank!

Try with Bluetangs, sailfin tang, Powder blue, Nasso and Yellow, make a well acclimatation, over 2 hours and you will be fine.

So many choices, you may want to start with listing some of your favorites. Also, think outside of tangs, since you have a large enough tank, for a group of Hemitaurichthys butterflies, or a couple pairs of Genicanthus angels.

My only word of advice... very large fish, even in large tanks, make the tanks look small, IMO. Also, I'd buy a QT tank before any fish ;)

It's YOUR tank, how about telling us some of the fish you like and everyone here can help determine what should work out and what won't?

I have in my 285 a powder blue, purple and hippo. Its been a good mix. Add lots of wrasses, a blenny, hawkfish and a royal gramma. I'll prolly add an angel and some anthias down the road.

I like Naso Blond tang
Vlamingi tang
unicorn tangs
Love Triggers n ad harlequin tusk.. but also like some shrimps and crabs lol..
Also really like Angels but seeing how i wanna do a reef probably wont happen..
IS a school of yellow tangs possible?
or am i better off with a school of cardinals.?
Love Wrasses also

I have a 36x18x24 QT tank that is being setup as we speak..
also have a 100 gal sump all being setup in the fish room..should be up and running by the weekend.

I like Naso Blond tang Okay by RC standards, though IMO would only do one in a larger tank
Vlamingi tang Needs at least a 10' long tank
unicorn tangs Needs at least a 10' long tank
Love Triggers n ad harlequin tusk.. but also like some shrimps and crabs lol.. Fish or Inverts here...
Also really like Angels but seeing how i wanna do a reef probably wont happen.. Depends on the kind of reef you do. SPS should be fine for the most part.
IS a school of yellow tangs possible? I would advise against it.
or am i better off with a school of cardinals.? Better than the group of yellow tangs
Love Wrasses also Excellent fish overall, there are some exceptions, so let us know which ones specifically
