-Which captive Seahorse is the most easy ta mantain / breed ?

-Which captive Seahorse is the most difficult to mantain / breed ?

Easy:dwarf (The adults are the hardest to keep, but the fry are easiest to raise... if that makes any sense... They are not really that hard though They just need to be fed Baby Brine shrimp as a staple diet, other than that they are VERY easy)
Difficult: Redi or kuda

Breeding is easy, it is the raising of fry that is difficult. In my opinion:

Hardiest and easiest to raise fry: Southern Erectus

Most time consuming and labor intensive: Dwarf (Zostrae)

Most difficult to keep healthy: lately Kelloggi have not been very hardy

Most difficult to raise fry: Ingens... however for commonly available species it would be pretty much a tie among those with pelagic fry (Kuda, Reidi, Northern Erectus, etc.)

Since your in Europe you will have a hard time locacting erectus. YOu can get fuscus or reidi fairly readily from what I understand. Reidi are hard but doable.

Thanks guys for your excellent information. I buy seahorses from TMC- uk , currently they have not in stock but my intention was to buy 2 Kuda, my intention is to keep them in a 30g aquarium with a small sump etc, but I wish to experiance also their breeding phase.

What do you think about Kuda?
