Help me with my SPS ID ... (first frag)

I was given this "staghorn" frag as my first SPS. Can you help me find out more about this one? I have no clue ... (SPS noob) :D

Here's another picture ...

It looks as if there are little feather-duster-like things on the underside of the coral. I take it they're not supposed to be there. I'll have to figure out a good way to get rid of them ...

Don't worry about the feather duster things, they are probably commensal barnacles and do no harm. The frag is not distict enough for an ID, but it may be A. formosa. Give it a few months to take on some form.
 
Thank you. I've been pleased with the little growth it's shown over the past week or so. I'll check back in a couple months ...
