Help! Mini carpet rock nem torn foot.

Looking for advance on caring for the nem. Purchased a mini carpet rock nem on a rock. On the way home the rock split and of course split perfect to where the nems
Foot was damaged. I have yet to put the guy in my actual tank yet and have a small Doctor tank where I am keeping an eye on him. It's been 2 days and he looks good. But I did notice one side of his foot lift up and saw a bunch of white on the bottom of his foot white gray goo looking stuff so that's why I'm assuming his foot tore. Also the rock split into two pieces and he was attached to both pieces of rock still holding on. So I'm sure his foot got torn. He also has a little white coming out around his mouth. He does not smell and he is still responsive to light and touch. What would you guys do ? Does he have a chance? Thank you!

He's probably fine, those carpet nems are pretty hardy.

You might want to dip in an iodine solution to be sure, it a really nice Nem by the way, I would drag it too

I read about dipping in iodine. I almost did as I have some on hand. But read mixed reviews. Good to prevent infection...bad as they absorb iodine when taking in water.. Any recommended iodine solution or just same stuff from drug store

I use the stuff the sell specifically for saltwater dip made by seachem, i didn't so it long either that's the recommendation to use when fragging them
