These last couple of days my anemone keep deflating like crazy is there something wrong? All my water perimeters are fine and he does get inflated again but it's not normal for him to do that. Is there something I did wrong?

how old is the tank?

how long have you had the anemone?

parameters are fine.. what are they?

deflating during the first week is ok.. anemones do that when they acclimate to your tank. However, in your picture, the anemone looks very sick.

Since you said it "keeps deflating", you should consider treating the anemone.

there's a treatment sticky up top

My tank is 3years old and the anemone have been in there for 3 month ammonia and nitrite are 0, nitrate are 20 ppm.

That's weird it would do that after 3 months.. did you add any new anemone recently? Or have you been feeding this guy

What was the last change before this started happening?

silverside could be the issue. often times they are defrosted during shipping process and refrozen. They are not human grade food so regulation is not very harsh. you never know when you get 1 bad silverside out of the batch and it will kill your anemone.

you should treat that guy immediately if you choose to.

when you say he rarely ever eats make me wonder if it was healthy in the beginning? a healthy anemone would eat all the time. I try to feed mine every 2-3 days

ebay.. tons of them.

get next day shipping if you choose to treat.. a day or two makes a big difference

Thomas Labs' Fish Flox (250mg) and Fish Flox Forte (500mg) are Ciprofloxacin - exactly the same as your doctor may prescribe you to take yourself, just labeled "Not for Human use"
You find it on eBay too
