hi, can someone tell me what a nice handful of fish to put in a 75 gallon tank would be, im thinking smaller fish, but maybe a nice larger main display fish
i think several people are going to be sick of me saying this but i really like my school of blue/green chromis. as for a larger fish possibly a dwarf angel or tang.
Any fish that really catches your eye? Nice to build around one fish you really want. Otherwise, do you have any specific colors you were looking for in the tank? Of all the fish I have had, jawfish are really personable, both the pearly and blue spot.
I agree with Jeffrey about blue-green chromis. I love my chromis school too, and our visitors too... They become much more beautiful when happy and well fed under a good ligth than at the LFS.
Main display fish: yellow tang. Yes it is common, but it is very colorful, active and usefull.
I'd go for gobies and blennies, great personality, fantastic colors and shapes and finnage. Ich-resistent, and not prone to fin-nip. I have a 52 with mostly gobies and blennies, and the action of very little fish in scale with their reef is really relaxing to watch---like a trip to the big city aquarium: no mad dashing and fighting, just fish doing their thing. And I have a chromis.
Check out the catalog [and compatibility chart] at Foster/Smith re gobies, blennies and nanofish.
