HELP!!! My GBTA is looking like crap!!!

mjoener

BAMs BAMs... I have a ton
I have had the same GBTA for about a year.
I had to move last month.
Now he looks like crap!
It has been this way since 6/1/08.
I don't get it, water quality is the same.
The only think that I can think of is the fluctuation in temperature is greater here, in the new place, then at the old apt.
I used to have no need for a heater, but now it drops to about 76 at night then climbs to about 80 during the day.
Is this my issue?

I don't think it is the temp swing, all of my tanks go from 78 to 83 each day.

Just to make sure everything is covered, what are your water parameters, with numbers.

Have you been feeding it ( and what lights do you have ), the tentacles in those pictures look really short -- starving.

The only thing that I can think of is that my lights have not been changed since I got the tank, it's the RSM.
I used to feed it regularly.
I have heard many things about feeding, that it can cause stress, mainly, I feel like if I feed it now it may stress it out more

looks like it squeezed up due to a water change. My bta looks like that occasionally. Don't be afraid to feed it. Stuff a little piece of silverside into it. If it is unhealthy it may drop out so stuff it back in again.

Feed it! I don't think stress is caused by occasional feeding. That's crazy talk.

I set my heater at 80. so even when the MH comes on the temp is the same. Day and night. My temp hits a max of 80.2. 79 something at night.
