Help My Hammer Coral! Polyp Recession

Heres two pics of it after moving it out of its spot where it had started receeding its polyps.

And heres the spot i had it before moving it.

I had it right in that hole. It had a lot of flow and prime 70w MH position. I moved it to a less flow spot and didnt help, no its in a very low flow zone. What can i do?! Checking my params soon so ill update.
 
Water parameters?

Anything picking on it perhaps? such as that cleaner shrimp?

It is kinda close to the other stuff in there,, but that shouldn't really hurt the hammer... shouldn't...
 
Maybe allelopathy from the soft corals, zoanthids, and mushrooms. Do you use a protein skimmer and activated carbon?
 
i do see lots of softies. i second what otiso777 said. i think the hammer would do more harm physically (stinging) to softies, than softies to it.
 
There is probably chemical warefare going on. As Otiso said, I would start running carbon to reduce the effects..
