help my tomato clowns are killing eachother

I purchased two tomato clowns about a month ago, they got along well with eachother until today. Suddenly they attack eachother out of nowwhere. I am thinking about returning one.

I would return one and get another that's significantly smaller. They're fighting to be female. Who know's maybe they're both sexed as females already.

if they are fairly small and fins aren't getting torn up too bad i'd say let them work out who is going to be female...........if they are both pretty good size and fins are getting torn up return one and introduce a much smaller one later

Can you mix tomatoes with other types of clowns? Lets say perculars or maroon?

I wouldn't recommend it...maybe a maroon, but tomato clowns have a tendency to be pretty aggressive.

You can mix any two clowns and they have the ability to pair and mate. That being said, it does not mean they are likely to or will do so. Tomatoes would probably do best with other tomatoes, cinnamons, red saddles, or something that could hold its own, like a clarkii, maroon, black saddle. You can and I've seen tomatoes with percs and occs before, but this is a craps-shoot.

I have a green bubble tip anemone in with my tomato.
