Help my torch...

so i had a leak fiasco with my DIY cube and i have put my corals and fish back in the 5.5 gallon tank barebottom with rock... but my torch has tissue recession and its worse than i thought originally... its only been about 3 days and they should be going back in tomorrow but i wanted to ask how quickly major damage can happen, or is it likely to be stress from the light being closer than usual (its almost right on top of the tank.. i kno this is bad with acclimation but there was little to nothing i could do in the hurry i was in to empty the tank and save my animals)

so is it likely to be permanent and need to re-grow tissue when it gets back into the newly repaired display tank or is it more than likely a stress response and it will fill back out fairly quickly?

it also has started to look a little lighter than it used to be,,, probably because of the same issue, but i have table shrimp to feed it until the zoox. can grow back...

nobody has anything to say? this morning his mouths are gaping... not looking good... he will retract further if i touch him,,, but ultimately hes sitting barely open mouths wide....

also an update he is not going back in any tank today... the cube is still leaking and i am off to take it out back and shoot it with a shotgun... im so sick of this leaking shiznit... i re-siliconed the whole thing except the sides and its still leaking... whatever.. this is about my torch.. please help me save it...

Ideas?

Go to the LFS and get some Tech D from KENT, OR some Seachem Reef Dip, which I prefer over kent...

follow the instructions carefully,

and hopefully that will stop it...

I work at a LFS and whenever we get euphylias in we always dip in reef dip.... we saw a 100% increase in health per coral when we do this....

good luck!
