Help needed asap

Hi all
I have the chance to buy some LR (10kg) locally from someone who is getting rid of his tank, however he wont sell unless he sells his livestock at the same time. My tank has been going for two weeks with 10kg live rock, and coral sand. All parameters are fine now, but if I add some new LR then Im expecting a mini cycle, even though its straight from his tank.

So my issue is, if I could get him to give me the LR up front, but keep his fish etc for another week or so, could I then stock my tank or is it just way too soon?

By the way he wants £100 ($200) for the lot, livestock and LR. It includes:

Yellow tang
False gramma
Clown fish
Yellow tailed damsel
Green chromis
Fire fish
Boxing shrimp
Blue legged hermit
Feather duster worm
Nautilus snail
Star coral

How big is your tank? You can cycle the 10kg of LR in a rubbermaid tote.

The LR is cycled though, he only lives 20 mins away so I shouldnt really get die off, especially if I keep it in a bucket of his tank water on the way home??

That tank is too small for a Yellow Tang. IME when moving LR there will always be a little die off so why risk it?

I think its too soon to be honest, but I wanted the LR really as its a bargain. may see if I can find someone locally who wants the livestock??

IMO you should add a fuge and use the Eheim to run carbon. What wattage are those bulbs?

would not add fish at this time to your tank;
Please wait at least 2-3 month

anyhow:

Yellow tang - to large for your tank
False gramma - if it is a Pictichromis paccagnellae - Royal dottyback, its a beast; this one has a clear direkt change in colours (sharp line), the Gramma loretto has a dotet area where boith colours can be seen.
Clown fish - which one? there are some which get big or are nasty
Yellow tailed damsel - nasty fish
Green chromis
Fire fish - Pterois is not suited, or is it a Nemateleotris decora || Elegant firefish? Its difficult to say something to plain fish names if not stated in their latin expression (thats the only cristal clear one)

And within 180L you cannot keep many and especially no fish getting larger than a few cm.

Looks like you need to pass on a great deal due to the facts that your tank may not even be finished cycling yet and it's too small for the likestock in question.
Maybe it's time for an upgrade already

Cheers guys, Im not going for it. I hadnt even looked at the issues with the fish as all I really wnated was the rock. I'll go back to being patient

You shouldn't have that much die off from a hour round trip(picking it up and actually into the tank time). how many pounds is that? It sounds like a awesome deal. How many gallons is your tank?

Buy it all and take the livestock and sell them to the LFS. That way you get your live rock, which should experience little to no die off and greatly speed up your cycle and you get some of your money back.

Use a tub to cure your rock in. Put his rock in. 20 minutes is no problem. I've gotten rock an hour away and had no problem with it. Put it right in the tank. Not sure about the False Gramma, but a Tang needs lots of swimming room. Sell him to the LFS to get some of your money back. Sell them the Damsel too. You'll be glad you did. I'd go for it.

for this small tank you need only a few stones - it is better to by fresh ones than used ones from another tank (not knowing how old the stones are and what they have "stored" over the years)

I didnt want to overstock so soon, and Im not going too. Im going to pass on the offer and keep going as planned - slowly.

Ive found another 10kg (22 lbs) of rock anyway, for £50 ($100)
