SO I purchased a New GBTA the other day and placed him on the substrate so that he will move and find a place that he likes. But for some reason he has not moved, he will flip himself over on occasion tenticles facing the sand. I am not sure hat to do Since i cant get him to attach anywhere. I have even tried to place him on a rock to see if he would take hold there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Turn off the powerheads, and place it between two big rocks. Wait a little bit and see if he attaches. It should take a few minutes, but it should attach. Turn on your powerheads one at a time and make sure he is still attached well.

Make sure you watch the anemone so it doesn't get sucked up into the powerheads. There are many threads on here about rigging up guards for them.

Ohh yeah.... BTA are not sand dwelling anemones. They like to be on the rocks, usually with their foot on the underside of them or in a cave (Kinda in the shape of a J).

ok i will do that, he is kinda in the shape of a ball so i am trying to be real careful not to squeeze him in between two rocks,

Don't pinch him between two rocks, just set him where two are together. Pick a couple that won't shift easily. Sorry... I wasn't very clear with that before.
