I recently purchased a foxface rabbitfish I can not get him to eat or even come our from under the rocks I have him in 180 gallon tank he stays the white and black color like he stressed
Just give it time like suggested above. IME, foxfaces are pretty hardy, grow fast and they're not picky eaters. But they can get stressed easily. I'd like to suggest to quarantine future fish purchases. Goodluck.
When I bought my one spot foxface and put him in quarantine he hid for almost 3 weeks. I would put his food on a vegi clip and he would start eating if I was not in front of the tank.
He remained shy until I put him in my main tank, I think having other fish put him at ease. He became buddies with my clown fish, and he is now used to me coming up to the tank.
I have a Two Barred and it is the largest fish in the tank, about 6-7 inches and spends all (well about 80% of his time in his favorite spot among the rocks. He comes out for feeding time and quickly cobbles down 1/8 sheet of Nori. Also jumps out to catch the frozen meaty food at the evening meal.
