Help! Not sure why this coral is going downhill fast

So I have this coral, not really sure what it is, other than its an LPS with about 4-5 mouths. I have tried feeding it but it doesn't ever extend any polyps.

I've had it for about 2 months now and it hasn't eaten since I've had it. I do add reef chili to the tank about once a week to cover all the corals I can't spot feed and everything else in my tank is doing great!

Any advice on what to feed this guy and what kind of light they require would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a wall hammer? Mine never eats but has been doing well. I think they can just be really difficult for some tanks

Possibly a Lobo? Have you checked for feeders at all a few hours after lights out? If you are getting nothing, it might be a gonner, if it's a wall hammer you should have seen some type of large tentacles at one point unless it was already heading south. Have a pic in white lights?

Mag is a little low but wouldn't cause that by itself. Do you have an alkalinity measurement? Stony corals need decent and stable alk (I like around 8).

If there are still some polyps visible I'd do some iodine dips for a few days since a wall is susceptible to disease caused by bacteria and protozoa. Only dipping it will kill the bacteria/protozoa and give it a chance at recovery. Also, walls take nutrients from the water and may not accept direct feeding.

Fyi most of the corals do NOT direct feedingvto live happy. Just the nonphyto ones neef feeding

Looks like a lobo to me and not necessarily a goner (agree it is if it is a wall hammer though) as I have seen them come back from looking that bad (we are currently rehabbing 3 scolys that looked that bad and worse when we got them). Can you find someone who has healthy LPS in their tank to try to rehab it? There seem to be some corals that just don't thrive in a given tank even when other corals do fine (in our old tank it was tracheophylia). Worth a shot if you have a buddy that can try it.

Looks like a Lobo to me too no way is that a wall hammer. There are two distinct colors of green and red/pink in that picture. My wall hammer when it recedes doesn't have those two colors.

How big is your tank? What kind of lights do you have? Has the coral always been in the same spot?
You might want to find the coral some shade for a week or so and see how it responds. I'm assuming you have LED's and these could be too intense for the coral in it's present location. As far as feeding it goes, maybe get a small piece of shrimp from the supermarket and break it down to about the size of a pea. Cut a 2 liter bottle in half and place this over the top of the coral with the food resting on top of it. This will give the coral plenty of time to eat and keep any nosy fish & invertebrates away.
