Help on custom led built

I have an sps dominated tank and would like to built a DIY led fixture.

I will use the Cree XML cool white. My issue is with the Cree UV and RB leds. Has anyone used them? What ratio of RB and UV do use propose ? I plan to have the XML at 1200mV so white will be strong. So i am thinking 10XML and 14 RB+UV.
Any suggestions ?

Unless you are going to use some sort of actinic lighting, you won't like all white LEDs.

I started with 24 royal blue XR-E , and 16 cool white and 8 neutral white XP-G. All running @ at max amperage. I replaced 6 of the cool white with blue and 4 of the RB with UV. I have 4 dimmible channels

Channel 1: 10 RB + 2 UV
Channel 2: 10 RB + 2 UV
Channel 3: 5 CW, 4 NW, & 3 B
Channel 4: 5 CW, 4 NW, & 3 B

I am currently running channel 1 & 2 @ about 50% and channel 3 & 4 @ less than 50%. I'd say the color temperature is about 15K.

i will use 10 XML cool white at 1100. So i believe i will have a lot of white. That is why i planned to use the maximum 14 leds of blue. Was thinking of RB but then i started considering the positive feedback of mixing UV with RB and my initial idea was 10 RB with 4 UV.

Your setup is much more "blue" for me. I am more close to 10-12 K.

Are you going to be able to control intensity?

Those XML's will be VERY overpowering.

For my setup i used:

8 NW XPG + 2 CW XPG on channel 1 (1300 MA)
10 Blue XPE channel 2 (1000 MA)
10 RB XTE channel 3 (1300 MA)
10 Rapid Led True Violet channel 4 (700 MA)

Even what i'm using with my white channel can really over power the blue channels.

I currently run 70% white and 100% everything else. I'd say about 12k look.

I would think you will want at least 3:1 blue to white ratio. Maybe 2 RB + 1 Blue + 1 XML.

Hello Chris

I have a total of 120 leds over my tank and plan to make a new one so i will have a backup available. Currently i have XPG CW and XPE RB in a 1-1 ratio. I run the XPG at 900 way below the limit. So i have a cool white in total effect.
I want to use the existing meanwell and i will have less white led. I will use the XTE which i will use in the same line with UV so it has to be at 700.

So based on your proposal Chris i should run the XTE at 1300 (maybe 10) and maybe get another 5 XPE and 5 UV to get a 10 k effect.

Do you like the use of UV? Do you propose them over blue ?
