HELP pest Anemones

ok how do i get rid of them ????
i dont have many , there is less then 12 at the moment .
at least 1 pops up a week now .

It sounds like you have aiptasia. You can add peppermint shrimp which are relatively inexpensive. There are also many chemicals out there that are reef safe that will kill them. Joe's juice in one of them that works well. Berghia nudibranches are also an effective way to kill aiptaisa.

if it is aiptasia here is another vote for peppermint shrimp - they have done a great job whenever I have intro'd new live rock - warning though at least in my tank they have a taste for yellow polyps as well.

if you can post a pic it would help with a more definite ID

kill em all! if you got only few of them instead of getting some natural predators and hoping he'll do the job for you, best would be to quickly wipe em out.. before they spread.. You can inject em with kalkwasser, lemon acid, or get some anti aiptasia stuff at your local LFS and feed em with it.. stuff like JJ or Salifert's Aiptasia exit..

ok looking at my tank now closely i can see lots of them , little ones popping up all over , is there anything i can put on the tank with out injecting all of them ??? jadran stated many different ones, are any of them , just add to the tank ???

try pepermint shrimp joes juice will work for the ones you can see but to me it sounds like they are all over wich means they are in your plumping skimmers filters ect most uf us have them pepermint shrimp in a small group will help long term they dont eat big ones in my tank so ocasionally i hit the ones i can see with joes juice good product kalckwasser or pickling lime works as well

i went out and got some (4) peperment shrimp , and didnt put them in my tank becouse some one said they also might the yellow polyps . so i put them in the refu. tank for now . this stinks , becouse i havent put anything in my tank for maybe 2 months now . i have know idea where they came from . tanks been running for years now .

I had the same problem so I went out and got a Copperbanded Butterfly fish and he has eaten nearly every one in my tank. I think this fish is awsome!

I've never had peperment shrimp bother anything.

well got my joes juice today i will try it and let you know , also will be putting in 1 peperment shrimp to try for now .
