Help placement of a long tentacle anemone

I just purchased a lta and like the description says where should I place it I read it goes on the sand bed but I have a high flow tank and it's rolling around it's now stuck behind a rock and another rock what should I do should I let it be? I know it's healthy cause it has supper sticky tentacles and I have it a small piece of krill and it ate it I already tried to put it in a ditch in the sand and it rolled out of it any help would be great

I usually do in a medium flow area by a ledge so it can pull in/out of light as needed.
Dig a hole and brace w/ a small rock or two.
Don't bother feeding for a week or more, let it settle in.

So is it fine where it is or should I move it?

Turn the high flow off and dig it a hole to set its foot in. Don't turn the flow back on until its foot is attached.

I think it attached it's up right and laying on the rock or at least it's starting to attach

I bought an LTA just like that and it would be good for a day, 3 days, a week and randomly pick up and move with no changes in the tank.

I picked him out of the power heads twice, flipped him back up right countless times, and finally one day he was gone the CUC got him is my guess.

It was one of the worst months ever as far as my tank was concerned. I tried all the tricks and tips and it was all futile. I wish you luck and success with it I will not be getting another one!

If it is attached then best to just leave it alone, let it settle and adjust to your tank params.
I would not even spot feed at this time, if it picks up food at fish feeding that is fine.
A week or so after it is settled then begin w/ mysis or similar small food.

Ok so it's rolling around again it was at least up right for a while it's prob trying to find it's happy place I just hope it doesn't do this till it gets sick etc wish it was like a bta where you hold it onto a rock and it's happy lol

BTA's can do the same.
Maybe you should post params/specs/tank history.
Normally a healthy LTA will set foot and move slowly in the sand bed to adjust it's needs unless it has a torn foot or it's needs can't be met.

Tank parameters are ammonia nitrite 0ppm nitrate 10ppm calcium is 440ppm iodine is .06 tank is a 150 gallon with a 30 gallon sump has 150lbs of live rock 120 lbs of live sand has 2 mag 12 pumps and 2 1150 korilas lighting is a 48" t5 6 lamp fixture and a aquatic life edge over the front of the tank the tank has been running 2 months I believe has rock from my established aquarium that's been up for 6 months now I know it's still early for an anemone but I have been pretty good with keeping healthy ones as long as they don't get sucked up into the filter I have a 36 bow which everything is perfect on incase it's a param issue but I took a gamble on this lta cause at the fish store it was in a tank with no sand and just floating around and I bought to try and hope it would attach to my tank and not just die in there's I watched it for about a week before I bought it and it's tenticales are sticky and mouth was closed has no signs of torn foot and btas when they detach from rock is usually a big issue I never had mine detach usually just move and find a better hole for there foot I'm hopping he is just trying to move to a better spot I debating on getting a PVC pipe 2" and cut it for him to lay in would that be better or just let it be and hope for the best

Forgot to mention the sump is a refugium with cheato mud and live rock rubble under 2 t5 lights with a coralife 220 skimmer

If it doesn't like the place you have it, it will move to a place it prefers.

That's the thing I don't think it can move I just wedged it between 2 rocks hopefully it will put it's foot in the sand bed cause I tried to see if I can put him in a diffrent location and he well the flow just pushed him till he was against a rock at least this way he is up right and on the sand and once he atleast attaches in the bed then he can move all he wants I'm just trying to keep him from becoming soup and or ripping apart by the rocks
