Ok I cam back from scuba diving this after noon about 5 and one of my clowns and my shrimp are dead. My other clown was hiding int he corner of the tank and I have these redish worms they almost look like bristle worms but they arent. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY WICK(clown) and SHRIMPO (shrimp)???? I pulled my clam, and other clown out right away they are chilling out in 2 seperate bowls. My clown is in a measuring cup and my clam is in a small bucket. I have been setting up a new tank for the past 2 weeks. The water isnt cycled yet. I have no idea what to do. Some of my corals are dead too. My new task is to get my leather out of my tank. It looks like they were MURDERED!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Your cycle is not finished yet???? If true then there probably lies your problem. Dont put anything in there till your cycle is complete. Take your live stock to your LFS and see if they will hold it for you. Test your water and post the results.

You're scuba diving. You're in Akron OH or Boston. I take it this is not on the shores of the Caribbean and those red worms are not fire worms, which can be a bit of trouble---but even if they are, I've never had them bother fish, only corals. I'd say there's a chemical problem somewhere---or a voltage leak, which is a sneaky killer. First run water tests: ph, salinity, temperature, nitrite/trate. Shrimp are particularly vulnerable to salinity change, clowns are practically impervious to things that take out other fish, so that's why I'm wondering about stray voltage. Anybody?

akron, my fish is in a tank now but im still looking for a palce to store my clam and leather. I think I might of found one. Im not going to worry about saving this tank. Just want to get teh fish and as many corals out as I can.

Do any of you guys think that it could have been some disease or mabey now everything is infected with some kind of disease because the water quality dropped???
