hi,

was referred from rc equipment forum to contact tunze representative here regarding my issues. below is the original post and thread. sounds like customer service for tunze is excellent..

****************
so my other tunze equipment i currently or previously owned generally have done very well for me, including a ATO/osmolator and skimmer.

that said, i was excited to get two tunze 6045 pumps about two years ago as a present. but since then both magnetic holding mounts have broken one of the arms over the past year, and now one of them has a broken motor shaft and i don't even want to touch/move the other one for fear that it will break too.

i am very careful whenever i clean/move any equipment and my other korolia, and even my 2 old school seio's, are still running strong with no issues. i'm thinking of sticking with korolia from now on for ph, as the tunze nanostreams mounts/equipment seems problematic. it doesn't seem worth it buying new mounts and shafts for nearly the same price as a new korolia, especially if they will just break soon again.

anyone else having these issues? i like tunze, but these ph don't seem of the same quality build as their other products.. any suggestions on what i should do?

The problem you have with the C clamp and the shaft was in the very early versions of the Nano stream range and has now been resolved for sometime. If you send the pumps into Tunze USA they will be repaired or replaced.

the latest generation are very reliable.

Thank you for your quick response Graeme and am relieved to hear about the improvements.

I am willing to send my nanostreams in for repair/replacement. Is there any particular procedure for sending in my nanostreams or person/address I should contact?

Just send them in with a receipt and note including return address and phone number.

hi roger,

thanks for reply. i can send them in, but don't have a receipt as it was a gift from a friend. i will try to get ahold of him but he's currently serving overseas and i don't know whether he'll remember or have the paperwork. hmmm.. any suggestions on what i can do?

I would send them and we will do our best to work from the date codes and production type. Worst case there will be a very modest charge to replace them.
