I have all new Salifert test kits coming in the mail, you are welcome to have whats left of my old Salifert MG & CA kit that I have. Maybe about 1/4 left of each.

What do you mean by "fine"? What is the reading of the alk?
You may wany to test your water-change water, before you add it to the tank, too. That will give you a clue on what's going on.

I'd guess your test kits are off. Great suggestion to test your makeup water first...that will give you an idea of what you are adding. If IO tests that high on calc, you can pretty much be sure your kit is off since it mixes up under 400 usually.

Thanks Marcye. This weekend, Im going to get some Salifert tests, and Im sure Ill get a better test result.
