Hi can anyone help me out please. I have tried the search and it will not work, it has never worked with me! I have my 24G nano set up now for about a month and its ready for a clean up crew but thay will have to what till I get my new cabinet finished and the tank moved. I don't like the tank stand "very unsafe" so I have built a new one and its bigger. It will let me get a bigger sump in it and I will get a skimmer. The problem Is its almost finished but I don't know what paint to use on the inside of the cabinet so I don't get any bad stuff dripping in to the sump from evaporation. Could you please help me out! also can I paint the cabinet in the same room as my tank,I would not get it back into my bedroom if I paint it outside.

Cheers Johnny

Thanks Sam any waterproof paint/primer should do? I don't have kilz brand here in the UK. Is it ok to paint the cabinet in the same room?

A. No real need to paint the inside of the cabinet except for asthetic purposes.

You can use any bathroom "high humidity" paint. It's designed not to run, drip, or flake off from moisture.

Open the window and paint it in the room. It's a latex paint so the fumes won't be over-whelming, just be sure not to drip any in the tank.

i would paint the insinde of the cabnit to protect the wood from moisture. or later on it can lead to mold if running a fuge or sump.
