My Open Brain has not been open for about 5-6 days now. Just checked my water and 0 ammonia, 0 nitrates, 0 nitrites, ph 8.3, calcium 420pm, KH 196.9 ppm, salinty .025 refractometer. Starting to see the skeleton around his mouth! Not good!!

All my other SPS and LPS corals look great but the Brain. It all started when I added my 2 part solution a few days back. He was open and as soon as I added the solution, he closed up. Never any problems in the past, till now. Any thoughts???????? Will try to post a pic..

I moved it under a overhang. It's not sliming or anything like that. It's done this in the past, just not for so long.

I would move in into a very low spot and lower the lighting a little but chances are its already too late.

The lights just came on. Looks like his mouth still has his coloration around it. No visible white spots or decay of any sort. Ill post another pic after the lights have been on for a few hours. Thanks for the help so far guys! :)

I believe Interceptor is a type of parasite or infection bath. Not sure which, but someone will jump in on that. An infection or parasite is always possible.

Is the open brain eating?

He was eating. Problem is his feeding tentacles are not coming out either day or nite. I normally feed once a week, but he's been deflated for 5 days now. Lites are out and I'm taking a flashlite to the tank every now and than for potential threats. No visible parasites that I can see. Ill be up most of the nite watching him. That's how concerned I am. He's my favorite piece... LOL!;)

I'm trying to post some things for sale and i have to waste 50 posts before i am allowed. Consider you 34.
Thanks

Thanks! Whatever the black worm is. It's got legs but propels itself across the water by swimming like a fish. Plus I noticed lil red bugs on some of my Acros. Been doing some research and thinking about the Interceptor Treatment. Any thoughts??

I looked at the pictures, but they were too blurry for me to even try to guess. I did, however, find this website which might help you out.

i did the interceptor treatment last week
dont know if it did any good but
the only thing it killed was my cleaner shrimp
my peps and other snails and crabs lived
