So i just took my Royal Gramma out of QT and put him in my DT this morning. When i took a look at him later on he now has white spot that look to be ich. I will try and get a pick of him but he keeps hiding on me. Does this mean i would need to treat all fish in the tank now?

Yes you would need to treat the entire tank if it is ich. Try to post a pic. In the mean time, try soaking some food in some garlic and start feeding with garlic.

Here are some pics. It has only been in the tank for 6-8 hrs now.

Over a month with no signs. Will 5 fish be too much for a 10g QT? They are all fairly small none over 3"

i have been Qting each for a month and just doing a parzi treatment. Unless they showed signs of other illnesses. The Gramma was ok with no scratching at all or white spots until today

It's lacking the typical 'roundness' of an ich pimple. It could be lymphocystis, which is worse news for the fish, but better for the tank. If it develops a irregular sugar-grains stuck together look, it's lymphocystis. If distinct pimples, white and round, it's ich.

Month in QT is a pretty good period of time and I'd expect ich to have presented itself. 6-8 hours is also pretty fast for symptoms to present if ich were latent in the tank. I'd keep an eye on it for a while to see if things get worse.

Well seems i jumped the gun maybe. I pulled all the fish out and have started copper treatmeant. I was just nervous to loss all my fish. Since i have read so many stories about Ich wiping out a tank.

Hey Sk8r do you have any pics of the early stages of lymphocystis. Every article i have read i didnt see and pics to compare it.

That's a very extreme case. Usually lympho just presents as a dusting of very minute grains, particularly about the mouth and head, and is irregular in shape. Copper won't help it and may harm the fish. It's a virus, and not very infectious.

Well i was given Copper Power to treat for ich. It doesnt have much info on the package but to dose til 2.5ppm per 20g. It says not to repeat dosage that i will stay in the water for months, but im not sure how long to leave it in there and when to do a WC with this stuff. There really isnt much info on the web about it anyone have any experience with this product?

You can remove copper from water with carbon filtration or with Polyfilter, a little piece of it. Polyfilter turns blue if absorbing copper. The advantage to using small pieces of that is that you know when it's not getting any more.
