I took this pic at the florida aquarium and need a little help. I have photoshop cs4, but am not to great with it. I want to darken up the lighter part of the black at the bottom of the image. Anyone mind telling me the best way t do this? Thanks.
Ok, I wasn't sure I understood what you wanted but here is my take. I created a Curves adjustment layer and made a sharp, short S curve just driving the darks darker and leaving the rest alone.
That made the image look like this:

Just for fun, after that add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and play with the Hue slider. You get all sorts of fun colors!
yep, thats what I was talking about about. Thanks for the replies. It was hard to get the pic as sharp as I would have wanted to, i only had my 18-55 on me and it was such a dark room/tank.
