I need some help on arranging my rockwork to give me more surface area to place my corals. My tank is a 230g-72l x 24w x 36t. The tank is viewable from 3 sides. It is currently set up with all the rock on the end against the wall. My tangs love the arrangement but it leaves little room for the corals to really grow out. The rockwork looks nice and I like the open space on one end. It has been set up for 8 months or so and looks very natural. I would like to see other tanks that are viewable from 3 sides.
The tank is a softy tank. I hope to let the leathers get large. Soon I will be plumbing the 100g sump to the main tank using a hammerhead pump for circulation. I built a manifold to handle the amount of flow and will divert water using several sets of loc-line. I have been working on this for a good while! I am finally getting close and want to get it right. Since I will be working with the circulation and moving rock around in main tank now is the time to make a decision on layout of the tank!
Any suggestions would be most appreciated! Pictures would be even better! Almost forgot to tell you the tank is drilled on one end only.....1.5" intake and a 2"drain! That is why I am using the hammehead for circulation. I plan on running a 1/2" PVC pipe off of manifold to the opposite end of the tank. It should be easy to hide the pipe in the sandbed and rockwork. I will use the loc-line to direct flow to avoid any dead spots. thanks for the input!
