If anyone happens to have the time, I would love to know which is preferred over the other. I need to know why each is good for their own reasons, and how hard it is to keep them clean. If anyone has anything to offer about this subject, no matter what it is, please inform me! Thank you very much!!!

i have sand in my seahorse tank and dont like it cause it gets real dusty when stirred i have crushed coral in my reef critters like to keep it clean some forms of florida sand look real appealing though

i have a 75 and it had cc in it it was ok and it was nice to be able to siphon it but it got to dirty and holds to much in i now have a very fine sand bed that is very nice im just waiting for it to stop turning brown from being silica based but im much happier with it that the cc als o the cc looks really ugly after a few months turns green and brown not very good looking

Aragonite based sand, crush coral just provides a trap for debris, isn't as friendly for micro-fauna, and has no capacity to buffer.
