HERE is some more info
• What is their usual aquarium set up? (Size, date set up, filtration type, etc.)
61 gallons in all. the main display in a 38 gallon tank. set up about a year ago. sump style filtration with over flow. over 70 lbs live rock in main display. mainly soft corals, 2 ocellaris, one dusky jawfish, 2 peppermint shrimps , 1 skunk cleaner shrimp, and an unknow pistal shrimp thats tiny and i never see but hear sometimes, and a clean up crew of hermits and snails.

• What are your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH, temperature and salinity parameters, and what test kits or equipment did you use to test the water?
i dont have an ammonia or nitrate test kit,
i use instand ocean powderd test kits,
PH-8.2
ALK.-5.5
Nitrate- 10 ml
Cal.-1050ml
phos.- .5 i have been trying to use phosphate sponge to reduce this, it was .8
specific gravity-.26
temp.-73

• How long have you had the seahorses?
6 or 7 months

• Are they captive bred or wild caught?
there both captive bred, but i did have a wild caught pipe fish that i didnt quaintine with them for a while, but not anymore.
they where labeled as kelloge and redi. the really sick one is the kelloge, the younger ones the redi, both males

• Where were the seahorses obtained?
from SOMTHING FISHY, they speicalize in saltwater fish, soposedley ones localy bred and ones from california.

• What are you feeding them?
enriched myisid
• When was the last time they ate and are they still eating?
last night, need to do a water change on there hosp and ill feed then, the younge one is interested in food, but the kelloges not at all

• Has there been any change in feeding behavior?
since i put them in the hosp yes, but even when they where in the main display right before i moved them, the big guy seemed depressed and wasnt too interested in food, now in the hosp he wont eat.

• In what country are you located?
usa, minnasota- twin cities

the SOP for treating tail rot on a seahorse is 250 mg of neomycin PER gallon. so if they're in a 10 gallon HT/QT it would be 2500 mg neomycin, add triple sulfa per label and treat for 10 days. your temp is pretty good, if you can get it down to 68 that may help as well. it won't hurt your horses, promise :)

have they eaten at all lately? major problem with sick seahorses is once they stop eating - i get extremely nervous after 3 days of non-eating. you can try some live ghost shrimp, although if they're the kellogi that have been on the market lately you may have a hard time finding some small enough. live mysid, if you have any, can also be used.

you're probably going to want to pick up a test kit for ammonia and nitrites, small levels of ammonia can suppress some horses appetites. water changes are critical to keep parameters in check.

how long have they been on the neomycin? are all the horses showing symptoms of tail rot?

ok, thank you for respnding.
ive found neomectin at a place, supper spendy, but i also bought triple sulfate!!!!! HURRAY i did somthintg right, and i now have both drugs in a capsule form. i got new stuff because i think the other drug was out of date. going to start new today, can i add triple sulfate in with the neo? how come i never hear people talking about kellogis? are they rare? how hard is it to overdose on neo? what happens to them?
i dont have accsess to live mysid, but might be able to get small ghost shrimp tommore night. i asumed that if they were still alive they must be eating, but i dont know if there eating for sure, the kellogis getting really skinny.

the little redi/mustang dosnt have tail rot sypmtoms, but the little one hangs on the big one all day so mabye the bacteria transfers. and i didnt want it the little one to get sick in main tank half way thuogh the treatment of the kellogi in hosp. unless you think otherwise.
