Help setting up Linksys camera

I've got the camera working fine inside my LAN but I can't get it to work with my Blackberry. I can log in on the BB and see all the web pages, but there is no video image. Any expert help would be appreciated.

Here's my router settings:

I've got step by step instructions in the handbook for configuring RTSP on the Blackberry with Linksys cameras. See my sig.

You can get to it on your LAN, how about remotely?

Are you running through a corporate BES (they may block the ports or the protocol)?

I see that there is an error in step #6 of the instructions. The proper URL to use on your blackberry is:

rtsp://yourDynDNSdomainnameforthecamera/accesscode

In the instructions I incorrectly have the :camera port instead of the /accesscode. I've made the correction to the manual if you want to download it again.

MY blackberry (running the Bolt browser) come back with a "URL could not be found", then tells me it tried looking up "http://..." even though I types in rtsp://...

I'm using the same DynDNS domain name I created for the Apex.

It is my business phone and we do have a draconian ITS department, though they are not blocking access to my apex on the phone as they do at work - I don't know about rstp.

Alan, I get the same error with the URL you sent me. It seems lioke the BB wants to add "http://" in front of the rtsp address I type in.

Just to make sure, are you appending the port ":554" to the end of your dyndns name when you type it in your browser?
Is your linksys router updating your dyndns ip? I am not familiar with the apex so I didn't know if it had this function.

He runs his BB through a corporate BES server. I think his IT department is blocking the RTSP ports. I was able to get to his camera (he supplied the URL) just fine with my BB.

Oh that is too bad. I don't know how bad you are wanting to get it to work, but you could stream the video feed to a web page very easily. If you don't have a website you can just set up a free page at blogger. You basically just copy and paste some html code into the page and replace the default values with your dyndns address and port number. The only advantage with having your own domain and site (instead of blogger) is that you can format that page to view better on a mobile device.

I do have a web site for my woodworking (lcouturedesigns.com) I knew it was missing something. Could someone post what the html is to stream my camera to the site?

Yeah I can help you get it going. It will be this evening before I can get you the html though.

If you are using internet explorer you can see a page I setup on my site for a friends dog area. www.adammartin.com/cam.html. This page actually has two streaming to it. The cameras are the model older than the one you have so the page requires you to allow unsigned activex controls to run.
