Help: Sick purple tang and coral

Update--Some on FRAG suggested the likely scenario. The coral is sick/dying with tissue slouging off--and the tang probably ate a bit thinking it was nori. Which makes sense, as when the tissue loss first started, I thought the first bit was some nori sitting in the coral. And the toxins made the fish sick.
Fish is doing better, coral sadly appears on the way out.
