HELP! Tear in bubble "brain" coral

I have a pale green and white bubble brain coral-not a bubble coral. I was doing a little reconstruction and my bbc was to close to an acan and was stung maybe? or I did by accident tho there were no rocks where I was working. For the past few days I noticed the bbc was not inflating completely. Today I noticed a tear in it flesh on the bottom of the coral. Some of the substrate has collected around the tear.
Is there anything I can do to be sure it survives? Please advise and thanks...

They are quite good at regenerating lost tissue and healing.

Make sure your water parameters are good and stable, and make sure nothing irritates the coral, especially around the wound.

thanks nihonjin. I have had my bbc for about 10 months now and he is so huge when inflated. I will keep my fingers crossed.

No problem. I've seen a thread before about someone thinking they lost their brain (who hasn't :D ), but found a tiny bit of tissue left. It ended up growing back full and healthy.
