Help To Build A Dream Anemone & Host Fish, Crab & Volcano Tank.

I have a extra 93g rimless cube that I may turn into a Anemone tank, but NOT just a Bubble Tip,....tank. Having one species of Clownfish is fine to stay away from fighting, unless fish like Skunks etc can be peaceful with others ?

Now for the fun part, trying to be artistic and build a "volcano rock" using I think, the BRS white dead rock, which I have buckets of. I also have white dead Tonga Branch rock, but I don't know if I/we can figure out how to use it in a volcano motif ?

I'm NOT artistic, so I'm having trouble with the vision and accomplishing what I want. It must,...not look like a pile of turd rock or like someone looking at it saying, "oh, that is a volcano" ? Ya know, lookin' like a pile of my Boxer dog (edit, sorry profanity is not allowed). :poop:

I think this tank is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen !
I'm looking at the middle portion as a volcano, the vegetation etc.

I’m not sure if the images will show for you (they don’t for me), but here’s another Volcano tank:

With that said, for fish swim room, I’d try to use tonga branch as a base and then could use the white rock as the “mountain”. The vegetation will take a bit to fill in.

If you want it to have a volcano like “effect” you could run your ATO tube through the back and up to the top and have the water “run” down like lava into the tank.

I can tell you the first display tank you show has a variety of macro algae’s and numerous mangroves in the tank and on the mountain and driftwood branch, looks like air plants, bromeliads and ferns.

Not sure how much it helps but hope this helps some!

I’m pretty sure those are Photobucket pictures that were lost when Photobucket started charging.

I'll try and find her. Thank you.
Ok Joe, can you take a pic of the rock that you want to use? I have used coral epoxies to bond rocks together. A lot of folks cut a piece of cardboard to the same footprint as your tank so that you can better visualize what the rockwork will look like.

I'm not ready to start building it yet. I had 2 strokes, so I'm very slow and can't preform tasks like I used to. But, I'm a class A person and so I plan things well ahead of time. I will also use cardboard as a aquarium footprint and as for the rockwork or aquascape, so I can move the rock around to please my eye and for critters.

I think I can use some of Tonga rock as free standing, like the roots of a tree and then stack the BRS rock on top of that. Wider at the bottom, narrowing towards the top. I want hiding spaces and sleeping areas under the Tonga rock and the other rocks easy ways for him to climb to the top, like King Kong !!! lol....🤣

We had a small Hermit crab in our 75g then he got big, so we bought him a 200g. (yeah, right !!! For other growing to big fish)
He got huge,.... very funny and loved him much, so we want another. My young niece made a little basket in school and would put food in it, let it sink to one side and bottom of the tank, and "Hermie" would swim over, eat the food, then would carry the basket by the handle back and forth the length of the tank (8') when he was hungry. ! lol ! 😂 Loved the old guy. 🥰

I 2nd the sentiment for you to take care of yourself! My sister in law had a stroke about 3 years ago. She is still learning new things she can do like playing hymns on the piano even though she has no feeling on one side. Somehow her hand still knows what to do, which is amazing.
